If you are going to buy some trimming, you will need enough to go all the way around the bottom of the skirt.

Be sure to ask if it can be washed when you wash your skirt.

THIS IS HOW TO MAKE THE PATTERN

This time you are the pattern.

Ask someone to measure you again from your waist to exactly where you want the skirt to come. (It is hard to do this yourself. If you bend over even a little, the measurement will be wrong.)

Write down the number of inches.

Add an inch for the casing at the top where the elastic will go. Add 2 inches at the bottom for the hem.
